In the Spring of 2004, Hibiscus Travel & Tourism Services (The first Travel Agency in the Municipality of Polichnitos) was a fact, with a small office on the Vatera Beach, a licence to operate issued by National Tourist Organisation of Greece and big aspirations. Since then, with a lot of hard work, moral support and hands on work from our family, friends and associates we have grown and achieved tangible results which now translate into a lot of new sustainable business for the local community. Amongst our successes we count the now established birdwatching and walking group and independed holidays from UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, which are based in the Vatera – Agiasos – Plomari areas, every year since 2004. So this year we are very pleased to announce, that our small Vatera office has moved to Polichnitos and with the added help of our office staff we are embarking on a new era. We are aiming to bring you closer to locations of the island which you know very little about but nevertheless have the capacity to delight and surprise you. You will experience the natural beauty, the enchanting landscapes, the cultural heritage and traditions of the local people, through outdoor activities and pursuits not forgetting the pleasures of the palate through the enjoyment of authentic local food & drink. Although the usual 'by the beach' holidays are not to be ignored in the island of Lesvos we are mainly addressing ourselves to the active visitors who seek discoveries to the green and unexplored part of the island, in alternative ways, either on foot, on two or four wheels, under the sea or even the combination of all options. We will work with small groups in order to provide quality support services, as well as to create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone. Our accommodations are hand picked for friendliness, good standards and environmental consciousness. Our guides and activity leaders are knowledgeable, experienced, sociable and humorous with a great sense of responsibility towards their craft. We are dedicated to providing the best services to our visitors, according to their requirements.
